Dublin City Council invites the pet lovers of Dublin to the second annual Pets in the City event. Supported by the DSPCA and King of Paws, Pets in the City will transform Smithfield Square into a pet paradise for one day only!

This free, family friendly event promises to be a great day out for animal lovers living in the city, with a range of activities stalls and entertainment. The DSPCA King of Pets Training Team will host Scruffs Dog Show and Dog Agility Workshops, sponsored by Purina Proplan. These events will invite members of the public to enter their own furry friends.

Pet lovers can expect a range of stalls offering great deals on all kinds of animal accessories, grooming products, toys and novelty items as well as the opportunity to avail of micro-chipping and pet health advice from the DSPCA. A reptile corner, world of birds, fish aquariums and a small animal farm will give visitors the opportunity to interact with and learn about all kinds of animals

Irish Design 2015 programmes a diverse and exciting range of family day design workshops, which explore the current exhibitions through playful experimentation with materials, techniques and ideas. On two Saturdays of each month we invite young designers and their families to the ID2015 Design Hub in Dublin Castle, to take part in hands-on design: exploring design ideas and processes through talking, drawing and making.
Family workshops are developed to nurture creative thinking, teach design and develop making skills in children these sessions explore ideas within the ID2015 exhibitions, starting with a tour to gather inspiration. These 60 minute hand-on workshops are designed for children of five years old and over with parents/guardians.
